Twisted Pentagon Vase
thingiverse
I am thrilled to present my latest creation, a dainty and twisted pentagon vase that embodies elegance and sophistication. As this is my debut upload, I humbly request your kind understanding as I share one of my earliest print designs with you. Upon first attempt, I was blown away by the excellent results; however, in response to user requests, I have designed an improved version featuring a thicker wall, a more substantial base, and – for those who like to see my personal touch – my signature proudly displayed at the bottom. Stay tuned, folks! As a token of appreciation for your support, I have uploaded a solid version of this enchanting vase, complete with my sig emblazoned on the base, just in case you'd like to print it multiple times using as many shells as needed. Now, onto the nitty-gritty – how did I bring this stunning piece to life? Here are the specs that got the job done: Printed with: The fabulous Printrbot Simple Metal Used material: Durable and versatile PLA plastic Filament of choice: A vibrant Robosavvy Red hue that really makes a statement! Printing settings: Temperature control - First layer: a cool 200 degrees Celsius Rest layers: an equally soothing 195 degrees Celsius Layer height precision: An impressively fine 0.2 millimeters Speed it up!: 50 millimeters per second, a brisk pace if I do say so myself Number of shells: A delicate 3 to achieve that signature look Number of top and bottom layers: A generous 4, giving the vase its characteristic thickness Infill amount: Zero – let's face it, this is all about clean lines and simplicity! No support structures required And finally, print time: approximately 5 whole hours, quite a lengthy process, I admit.
