Twist Egg Puzzles (and other shapes)
thingiverse
I designed these eggs to complement the trisection theme, as I'm drawn to the elegance and simplicity of this form. Since Easter is approaching, I wanted to create something fitting for the occasion. Most of these files are comprised of three identical parts (except EggSection4, EggSectionHeart, EggSectionDecorated, and DoveTailSection). They make excellent fidget toys but also display well when colored in multiple hues. The other models were simply shapes I desired to experiment with as 'sections.' Enjoy! Note: Oskar van Deventer is credited for the trisection concept that led to this idea. Note 2: The SphereSection proves to be the most challenging to print, and achieving a smooth surface on its pointed edge can be particularly tricky.
