Follow this two-piece template to create a model with concentric rings that spin upon folding, similar to the one in this video: http://youtu.be/2QXgaSLgxq4. Despite experiencing difficulties when trying it myself, I'm sharing it in hopes someone else can make it work. Improve the STP files included for better results. Print Twirligig_lower_plate.stl and Twirligig_upper_plate.stl. Use the upper plate model as a guide to cut heavy paper or light cardstock into a rectangle. Sandwich the paper between the two plates, then use a knife's slots as guides for cutting rings. Emboss fold-lines by pressing down on the upper plate or squeezing tightly between the two. Remove the paper and follow embossed lines to fold from outermost ring to inner one, mimicking plastic card in video.
