Tractor pulling, also known as power pulling, is a thrilling motorsport competition, popular in the United States, Europe (especially in the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany), Australia, Brazil, and New Zealand. Modified tractors are required to pull a heavy sled along a massive 330-foot-long track that is an incredible 35 feet wide. The ultimate goal of this challenging sport is to be crowned as the tractor that pulls the sled the farthest. Known worldwide as the most powerful motorsport competition around, tractor pulling features multi-engined modified tractor pullers. Every class has its own specific weight set for all tractors to haul in their respective sleds when racing along a 100-meter-long track. Once any tractor reaches the finish line of this demanding course, this is called a full pull. If two or more tractors complete the track without incident, extra weight is then added to the already heavy sled and those that moved beyond 300 feet on the course get to participate in a final showdown. Here, it's every competitor for themselves as they strive to see whose tractor can pull the heaviest sled the furthest down the line. One of the essential components involved in tractor pulling is known as a weight transfer sled, which gradually shifts its weight forward as it rolls over specific gear links fitted to its front wheels towards the rear. When crossing over this specially designed section near the front axle called the pan, a flat metal plate, significant resistance develops. With every foot the heavy load moves along the ground and approaches the front of the track the more challenging it becomes. Even some of the top of the line tractors, including those in Europe's renowned 4.5 modified class can churn out more than 10,000 horsepower making them one of the strongest engine outputs that motorsport has ever seen. Model specifications include length at 5207mm, width at 2300mm and height measuring a total of 2035mm.
