Twilight Imperium 4th Edition Organization Set

Containers for Twilight Imperium 4th Edition. While the game's full box insert is nice, it falls short in handling cards with sleeves and accessing players' pieces easily. 3D Printing comes to the rescue. All containers have been designed with a .25mm gap around the lid. This snug fit worked well on my printer, but you may need to adjust your settings for a tighter or looser fit. Test the fit before filling each box! I learned this lesson the hard way when I closed a full box that had to be destroyed to retrieve its contents. **Ship Boxes:** The ship boxes are larger than the original insert, allowing for three of them to sit along the short edge of the box. The card section holds all colored technology cards, ship upgrades, and common promissory notes. It's a tight fit with sleeves, but manageable. There is a notch on the bottom of the tray so that cards can slide out easily in packs. Ship Bottoms took 10.5 hours to print at 60 mm/s, while lids took about 3.5 hours. **Race Boxes:** The design of the race boxes was influenced by the 3rd edition's compact layout. They hold all tokens and race-specific cards, including technologies, home planets, and promissory notes. As mentioned above, check the fit before committing your pieces to the box! I experienced a slightly tighter fit due to a printing artifact that could be easily trimmed with a knife. Lid and base printed at the same time took 3.5 hours to print one set at 60mm/s, 0.2mm layer height. **Card Tray:** The card tray holds all other sleeved cards for the game. It features sections for stage one objectives, stage two objectives, secret objectives, planets, action cards, and politics cards. The model provided does not include symbols, which I found didn't print well. Instead, I opted to remove them. **Space Tiles:** Two versions of a hex holder for space tiles are available. While the extra side along the top is probably unnecessary, it adds a touch of neatness. Both versions are included so you can choose which one suits your preference. **Anything Else?** I've used small containers for dice, ground force tokens, fighter tokens, and trade good tokens rather than designing specific boxes for them.
