Twig Mobile Holder (ceiling mount)

Twig Mobile Holder (ceiling mount)

This holder enables the installation of twigs around a standard lamp socket, allowing for the creation of an extensive base for a mobile. I specifically designed them to function as such. The parts have been modeled in OpenSCAD and are fully customizable. All measurements can be altered, and they reside in `Dimensions.scad` along with detailed documentation. If you find anything unclear, please let me know. The included stl files are based on a configuration for at least six arms (I used five in my photos), a screw distance of 60 mm (a standard in Europe), and standard device screws (visible in the pictures). The screw holes are a tight fit in this configuration, but I prioritized stability over ease of removal. My curasettings and resulting gcode files are included for informational purposes only. Please don't use them for direct printing unless you're confident in your abilities. When working with electricity, caution is essential, and it's crucial to understand the risks involved. Ensure the lamp below the holder doesn't get too hot or close to other parts that might melt, burn, or conduct electrical current. To print this design (estimated times are for an Anet A6 with default settings): * One `Support_Ring` takes approximately 4 hours. * One `Distance_Ring` (1 hour) is required to create space between the construction and the ceiling. * Up to six `Arm`s can be printed, each taking about 2 hours. Additional components needed: * Zipties or screws to secure twigs in the arms (ziptie method shown in the photos). * Two device screws for mounting the construction below the ceiling (or alternative screws if a socket is missing). * Twigs or cantilevered items with a maximum diameter of 16 mm. * Clamps holding arms are only stable in one direction; never bend them upwards, as they might break. The assembled construction has a total diameter of 30 cm. The entire design including the twigs on the photos has a rough diameter of 150-180 cm. It feels stable enough for decoration, but always check your gut feeling!
