Sullivan is often celebrated as the father of modern architecture, but this title isn't what he would have wanted to be remembered by. He advocated for harnessing human powers of thought, reason, and creativity to bring buildings and their components to vibrant life. Like nature, each part would relate to the whole, reflecting the interpretive skills of individuals, including emotion-stirring beauty uniquely of individual creators. By this process, a dynamic modern architecture would be a natural outcome - not an artificial goal. Louis H. Sullivan's early works often go unnoticed, but his twenties-era buildings are most striking, pushing upwards from the ground and flourishing against the sky. His ornamental details pulse with organic energy juxtaposed with modular geometry, the essence of architecture. Many of Sullivan's twentysomething buildings have been lost, but surviving pieces of ornamentation remain, showcasing life requires three dimensions to thrive. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: Printed at 200 micron, but would love to see it at 150 micron Infill: 15 - 20% Notes: Pages measure 220mm H x 245mm L x 10mm D, so they need to be printed on a large format machine like the Z18, TAZ 5 or similar-sized print volume. Post-Printing Use needle nose pliers and shears carefully to clean up support material, being cautious of page connectors that can split easily down lamination layers.
