The TweetPlotter is a budget-friendly text generator. It can plot your tweets, time, weather and even the pollen index for birch and grass in Lyngby! And if you have pollen allergies, you can grab a handkerchief from the orange box on the side of the TweetPlotter. It's made with -acrylic sheet 3mm 60x40 - $6 -veneer sheet 5mm - $3 -bolts and nuts m3 and m2 x35 - $5 -a steppermotor (28BYJ-48) - $0.80 -three servomotors (2x TowerPro Microservo sg90 and 1x RoHS SM-S2309S) - $3.60 -an ESP8266 - $4.20 -a breadboard - $1.20 -a lot of wires - $2 -photosensor (GP1A51HRJ00F-SHARP) 30kr -glue - $2 Overall cost in materials: $24 It's designed to use as little material as possible, and to be assembled quickly. There is no top, so you can watch everything happening inside. The tricky part of this project is the code and using the right library, but with our code and some calibration, everything but the photointerrupter will work (even though it worked on the OLIMEX-experimenting board). To get a visual view of how the TweetPlotter is supposed to be sampled, check out the CAD files. They are accurate, so use the LaserCut files to make the parts.
