Tweaks to FT 2020 i3 V-Slot E3D Extruder Mount
thingiverse
I'm really impressed by iamquestar's straightforward design! I made some changes to help the bridging process, so now the two motor mount holes and the two hotend clamp holes have a 0.4mm bottom that needs a quick clean-up with a drill bit. It's an easy fix, and the bridging looks cleaner as a result. I also added some supports in the motor recess to save time during the printing process - no need for the slicer to generate additional supports! I did print it out, but my extruder is causing me some issues (that's why I'm upgrading to an E3D!), and I'm still waiting for my new hotend to arrive, so there are no action shots just yet. Print Settings: Printer: Folgertech Prusa i3 2020 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 35% Notes: After printing, the supports should snap off easily. Be sure to clean up the holes with a 3mm or 1/8" drill bit for a smooth finish.
