I'm excited to share with you my latest remix of the EggDuinoNano firmware: https://github.com/nebarnix/EggDuinoNano. This upgraded version includes new and improved features that will take your 3D printing experience to the next level. One of the key upgrades is the addition of Nerf Dart holders for both the idler and egg axis, which proved to be more effective than O-rings in my testing. These holders are designed to provide a secure grip on the darts, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing any jamming issues. In addition to the Nerf Dart holders, this remix also includes a printable bolt for the idler that can be easily installed using an M3 screw after assembly. This upgrade provides a more stable and durable connection between the idler and egg axis. Another feature of this remix is the inclusion of a PCB holder specifically designed for the Arduino nano GRBL CNC board. This ensures a snug fit and easy installation, making it perfect for hobbyists and professionals alike. To further enhance user experience, I've also included thumbwheels for both the pen arm height bolt (M4) and marker holder bolt (M3). These can be easily installed using a drill press or an arbor press, providing a secure grip on the bolts. For best results, it's recommended to print these components out of PETg or ABS due to their softness. While I've made significant upgrades to this remix, I've left the distal pen holders unchanged as they proved to be a suitable size for this build. If you need to customize the models, feel free to use the original thing's openscad script to generate new designs.
