Tutorial: OpenSCAD: Hook
thingiverse
Based on Phei's handy everyday gadget, I decided to transform it into an interactive tutorial comprising seven incremental SCAD files neatly packaged in a zip file. Starting from Phei's built-in diagram, I initially parameterized the design, then constructed basic shapes, relocated them, smoothed out some sharp edges, and lastly incorporated a fudge factor (tolerance) for the key grab point to ensure secure attachment to any desk based on my experience with my printer. The outcome is a versatile tool capable of creating hooks of various sizes to accommodate items of different weights, simply requiring adjustments in the customizer according to individual needs.
