Create a spring using SolidWorks with two methods: Helix and Spiral via Swept Boss/Base or just Swept Boss/Base. First, learn about Helix and Spiral with Swept Boss/Base: Start by opening a new part and creating a 2D sketch on the Top Plane. Draw a 100mm diameter circle and confirm. Next, create a Helix/Spiral with Constant Pitch. Set the Pitch length to 25mm, Revolutions to 10, Start angle at 0 degrees, Clockwise direction, and click OK. Then, create another 2D sketch on the Right Plane for the Spira. Draw another circle at the desired location and connect it with the spiral sketch by selecting their midpoints and choosing Pierce. Adjust the diameter to 15mm. Finally, use Swept Boss/Base to combine the profile (Sketch2) and path (Helix/Spiral1), completing your spring model. Remember, a '♥' button is the only payment for this tutorial. Enjoy!
