In Southern Ethiopia, a groundbreaking discovery was revealed on Arte channel towards the end of 2018: "A team of European and Ethiopian archaeologists is diligently working on newly unearthed Megalithic sites that are an astonishing ten times larger than the famous Stonehenge or Carnac in Bretagne. Nestled within a narrow constriction of the Rift Valley, several thousand massive monoliths bearing unmistakable phallic forms remain remarkably intact. Based on their research, archaeologists and anthropologists date these imposing statues to the 10th to 13th century AD, further fueling the mystery surrounding their origin.
