A finely crafted faience ring bezel boasts an intricately carved cartouche of the renowned Tutankhamun, unearthed from the ancient site of Amarna. The remaining hieroglyphs clearly identify Nebkheperure as Tutankhamun's majestic throne name. It is highly unlikely that this exquisite ring ever belonged to Tutankhamun himself, as identical examples have been discovered throughout the sprawling site of Amarna. To delve deeper into the mystery surrounding this artifact, readers are encouraged to explore the Egypt Centre at Swansea's informative blog. Additionally, Petrie's seminal work "Tell el Amarna" (1894) features a remarkable faience ring mould bearing the same distinctive cartouche type on plate XV, number 115. The artifact itself is accessioned as E.5052, while photography and model credit are attributed to Charlotte Sargent.
