This design draws inspiration from SublimeLayers' tusk part cooling design.\r\n\r\nNew\r\n---\r\n\r\nI recently made some adjustments to this design, but I'm still unsure if it's complete - further testing is needed. Initially, the original design didn't provide sufficient airflow through the tusks, which was a problem for me. To address this, I added additional fins to direct air while forcing it out of the tusks. It's essential to have the sock in place as this setup blows directly at the heater - I need to make adjustments to divert it downwards, but I'm considering a completely different design (from the side rather than the back).\r\n\r\nI'm eager to hear how this works for you if you put it into use. My extruder is mounted on the left side, one row up from my mount plate - this provides more Z height.\r\n\r\nFuture iterations will likely lead to a new design entirely and I'll provide a link back here.\r\n\r\nDon't forget to flip the parts upside down in your slicer app when exporting - it's a simple step that I forgot to do. \r\n\r\nOriginal\r\n\r\n---\r\n\r\nThis design complements my recent projects: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2762077 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2764868.\r\n\r\nThe height is adjustable, and I believe it will work with a volcano setup; however, I haven't verified this yet.\r\n\r\nTo mount to the plate, you'll need:\r\n\r\n1. 6 M3 6mm (2 for the back plate, 4 for the side)\r\n1. 2 x M2.5 5mm for the fan\r\n1. 1 x [30x30x10](https://www.seemecnc.com/collections/parts-accessories/products/30mm-x-10mm-blower-fan) mm blower fan\r\n * I plan to create a version of this plate for other blower fans in the future\r\n1. K&S 5/16" brass tubing or 4mm if available\r\n * I purchased mine at a local hobby store, three sticks for $5-6\r\n1. 4mm drill bit (and/or 4.2mm)\r\n1. 2.5mm drill bit\r\n1. TuskDrillJig from [thing:2445660](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2445660)\r\n1. pipe cutter, I used a [rigid close quarters](https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/close-quarters-tubing-cutters) - be cautious as the pipe is very thin and technically only suitable for > 5mm\r\n\r\nOnce printed, measure out two ~85mm lengths. Drill out the TuskDrillJig with M4 and M2.5 (I used 4.2 for the pipe, which was too tight)\r\n\r\nThe f360 export is attached; feel free to make changes or tweaks. If you end up printing/using this design, I'd love to hear your feedback.\r\n\r\nI'm uncertain about the airflow with this setup. Typically, I push a lot more air onto the part, but this one is much more focused - it might not be an issue after all?
