This is a basic design to keep your spool holders stable (designed specifically for 1.75mm Hatchbox filament spools). This print eliminates the need for super glue to hold all parts together and prevents shifting or falling. There's a .25mm clearance on all sides of the spool holders if you printed the original model without scaling, allowing it to fit nicely with minor imperfections from your printer. Design evolution notes: The original was a rectangle shape and solid. I experienced adhesion issues on the bed (the corners curled up probably due to shrinkage from cooling). This issue led me to cut off the corners and end up with the current unusual octagon shape. I also removed the center, leaving a support beam to save material and reduce print time by an hour, while still maintaining durability and preventing bending or flexing.
