Skeinforge encountered issues with the initial gears, leading to incomplete solidity and fragile output. To resolve this, I split the gears into distinct STL files, corrected normals, and mended geometry flaws using NetFabb. Subsequently, printing can be performed with no extra shells and high infill for robust gear production.
