Turtle License Plate Frame
thingiverse
This license plate frame features a single print with dual colors. The bottom 2.1mm is solid white PLA, while the top 0.9mm turtle design is UV reactive neon green PLA from Atomic Filament. Combining the white underlayer with translucent neon green amplifies its brightness and creates a striking contrast that highlights the turtle pattern. To see more designs for license plate frames or submit your own idea, send me a message with a link or file. I'll produce new designs as time allows, likely following up with a Yin-Yang design next. To stay updated on my latest creations, follow me for notifications when new designs are released. If you're working with a single-extruder printer, you'll need to pause the print and switch filaments mid-print. Use 0.3mm layer height to generate Gcode, then edit it in a text editor. Look for "layer 8" and insert "M600" on a new line before this point. This will pause your printer so you can change the filament before printing the turtle design. Your printer must have an LCD controller to advance the filament and resume your print. If you're new to this process, consider practicing with my matching turtle keyring tag, available for download on Thingiverse as thing:3050446.
