Turtle Dreams
myminifactory
Turtle Dreams, faux stained glass, designed specifically for printing on an 8 x 8 build area. Printed at a layer height of 0.3mm in high-quality ABS material. The frame is sliced with two perimeters, two tops, and two bottoms, plus 15 percent rectilinear infill to ensure strength. In contrast, the "glass" pieces require a unique slice profile: two perimeters, two bottoms, no tops, and an infill of 10 to 20 percent honeycomb structure. To assemble the model, print the "glass" pieces upside down, then flip them over after printing and glue them into the recesses in the upright frame. Note that if you don't create a new slicer profile, the glass may be too thick to allow sufficient light to pass through, so the separate profile has only two layers for maximum transparency. This approach also facilitates easier gluing into the frame and minimizes light leaks. Use white glue or plastic cement to assemble the model. This is my first submission to My Mini Factory, and it's exclusive to this site. I hope you appreciate this unique creation!
