Turtle Crash Pad for Basking Area Ramp Exit

Turtle Crash Pad for Basking Area Ramp Exit

My turtle would sometimes run and dive off her Thrive basking platform so fast that she would slam into the side of the aquarium glass. This eventually resulted in her shell being damaged. I created this simple crash pad to be installed at the ramp exit. It's printed in TPU and the face is 1.5mm thich, so it's thick enough to keep it's shape, but thin enough to have some give.I already had extra suction cup clips for my Fluval 407 canister filter hoses, so I modeled this to use those. I found they were very secure and they stayed in place on the glass.Installation Notes• I was able to install mine with only two suction cups at the top, but I've included mounting points at all four corners in case you need to secure yours more.• This will be installed lower than the ramp exit since turtles will dive into the water, usually a few inches below the bottom of the ramp. You'll have to watch your turtle's behaviour and adjust the height as needed.PartsBelow is my list of parts I used (affiliate links).• Suction Cups (Remove the Plastic Clips): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M33F8HL/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_glt_fabc_T2RD7HYG3VREQKPA30SA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=ml1&tag=vampyrex13-20Buy Me a Coffee?Do you like my work?
