Turtle, Cat, Elephant - Minsk

A statue created by S. Bondarenko stands proudly near the Circus in Minsk, its presence a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage. Unfortunately, a planned addition of a mouse at the base of the statue was scrapped due to superstition surrounding mice and bad luck held by circus staff members. As a result, a turtle now takes its place, serving as a subtle reminder that even art can be influenced by tradition and folklore.
