Turtle

I created a turtle using Zbrush, which was printed in 7 distinct parts: the shell, the underside of the shell, the head, and the four legs. All parts, except for the legs, required support during printing; the cantilever angle had to be adjusted between 50 and 60 degrees. The leg files needed to be printed twice, with one model inverted, in order to produce a left and right leg. It took me just over 46 hours to print the entire turtle. The shell took 22 hours to print (120 mm x 136 mm x 72 mm). The underside of the shell was printed in under 10 hours (108 mm x 124 mm x 32 mm). Each leg required 7 hours to print. The head took 6 hours to print (44 mm x 68 mm x 116 mm). After printing and removing the support, all that remained was to glue the parts together. I started by gluing the shell, followed by the rear legs, and finally the front legs, making sure each part was securely attached and not wobbly. I used Loctite gel glue for this process.
