What is a turntable weight? A turntabale weight is a puck-like object designed to be placed on the centre of your records during playback. Why use one? Placing additional weight on your record can provide a few benefits. Coupling the record to the platter reduces this vibration, which results in cleaner playback and less distortion. Keeping records flat: New or old, few records are perfectly flat. Warping can make it harder for the stylus to track properly. This design will be usable straight off the printer, all you need are some 1p coins. Fill the inside with as many coins as you desire to fine tune your weight. A simple lid mechanism and comfort ribs round the outside, make this a stylish piece for music lovers.
