This model https://www.printables.com/model/136844-herringbone-geared-turntable-roller-bearing is an absolutely beautiful and functional self centering thrust bearing design. It looks good just sitting there, but I wanted to make a repurposed spool turntable, and this gear was ideal to use.

Printed MrCliveMrClive's model at 85% only so I could fit both sides on my print bed at the same time (230x230mm) and shaved 4mm off the bottom, as I don't plan on anything heavy. Double nuts to lock them together, if they are not snug on the bolt. Threads are M28x2, with the thread faces pushed back 0.2mm.

You'll probably need to adapt the model to your spool, .step/3mf files attached. I cut mine at about 10-12mm from one side on the table saw, but whatever you need to do.

0.2mm layers, 4 perimeters, no supports required.
