Turntable Repair
thingiverse
A donated programmable turntable, part of a robotic arm kit, has been utilized at Berks CoLab (http://berkscolab.org) for 360-degree 3D laser scanner experiments. Despite its usefulness, the large gear is slightly stripped and the table design poses difficulties due to a central hole. To resolve these issues, openscad library from MCAD (http://github.com/Dplo1d/MCAD) was employed to create an alternative gear, although it has small teeth and fitting issues. On the other hand, the designed cap offers a flat surface after successful MakerBotted application.
