Turntable Hinge Brace

Turntable Hinge Brace

thingiverse

My project prevents the Victrola suitcase-style turntable-cover from closing and damaging your music vinyl records. In the photos, the white-colored parts are foam that I glued onto the plastic thingi to not scratch the finish of the turntable. The unit works without the foam, however. The brace has to be inserted into the space between lid of the turntable and the main body of the turntable. Since the thingi is made out of plastic, it's not designed to withstand a lot of force on the lid of the turntable. But IT DOES WORK. I used TinkerCAD to create the STL file. The 3D printer I used was available to the general public at my local public library here in San Diego. It was a Tiertime UP mini 2 3D printer using PLA filament.
