There are certainly better turntable designs out there but I wanted something where I could use some flat material I already had for the platter instead of trying to print a large flat surface. Any flat material would work as long as it's not too heavy. This is designed for painting small projects and probably wouldn't be good for supporting heavier objects such as monitors. Tips: Use 6mm airsoft BBs for ball bearings between the two halves. Recommend printing the lower (part with lip) with supports on build plate only. Other parts do not need supports. The retainers can be glued on but are design to use M1.2 to M1.5 countersunk screws. Upper and Lower are pretty much interchangeable, but beware, if you swap them you will not be able to access the screws/retainers once you glue on the platter. That's why they are labeled as such. The patterns on the top and bottom are to help with adhesion when gluing on your platter. I glued on rubber pads to the bottom of mine to prevent slippage.
