Turntable For My Curing Device
cults3d
I use a nail-curing-device for my resin-printed parts. The resin that is mend for casting needs some extra intense uv-curing but must not get to hot at the same time. A turntable and a fan should be a good idea. https://youtu.be/O4ifQMotPWM I replaced the original bottom with my turntable - you can pull it in and out like a drawer. I used parts I had laying around: a bearing (608z - 8/22mm) an arduino a stepper driver a stepper motor retrieved from an old DVD-drive a fan (12V, 40 mm), optional some wire double sided tape to mount the foil on top of the turntable some aluminium foil a cable tie some screws I used an arduino uno and a motor-shield. The shield is not needed but made things a bit easier. The sketch is really simple based on the AccelStepper-library and the ConstandSpeed example. I tried several speeds and slowed things down then to reduce noise. Important: Set V-ref with the potentiometer on the step-driver to a low as possible value that is still high enough to keep things running - in my case: 0.1 V (Higher values will possibly heat up that little motor and destroy it).
