Turntable Bearing Base - 6mm BB Balls
thingiverse
A precision engineered turntable bearing base that seamlessly integrates into various configurations. By ensuring the retaining clip's absence of overhang, printouts yield outstanding results with minimal need for post-processing. Nevertheless, I've found that a moderate amount of ooze can cause strings to form across the grooves, thus necessitating a slight smoothing using fine-grit sandpaper before final assembly. For those seeking greater customization, the accompanying OpenScad file offers a flexible solution to generate alternative sizes or additional rings to accommodate heavier loads. Regrettably, this project was a hasty proof-of-concept and therefore lacks detailed documentation within the OpenScad file. To successfully assemble this device: 1. Print both parts. 2. Fill the grooves with 6mm BB balls. 3. Securely attach the top half to the bottom half.
