Turntable bearing
thingiverse
The concept involves a polar-polar 3D printer utilizing a tapered roller bearing turntable for precise movement, as linear printed axes can be challenging to run smoothly. This table is sized at 140x140mm. The printer allows printing the entire bearing/table instead of sectioning it. Interestingly, the printer is quiet when loaded with 215 pounds but becomes noisy under lighter loads. A faceting issue on the race is present due to Sketchup's Follow Me function limitations. To ensure proper functionality, check if the roller can freely rotate around the race (a slight tilt should do the job). You can either use a full complement of tapered rollers in the groove or opt for the cage, where pins fit into holes through the rollers.
