Turnigy Fabrikator Bed Stretcher
thingiverse
So, are you the kind of person who feels shortchanged if your car isn't delivering every last bit of horsepower? This mod lets you squeeze an extra 15-20mm out of both axes on your bed. That may not sound like a lot, but it's 10% more. I've included both left and right end stops, though I discovered during testing that the fabrikator actually ignores the right sensor (and vice versa for the rear sensor) and relies on the value set in the firmware. So, you only need to worry about the left one, I think. Replace your existing left-hand X-axis magnet mount with this one, then fine-tune it manually by moving the head back and forth. The screw still needs to go behind the magnet to prevent it from falling out (trust me!). For the Y axis, adjust the end points on the right side of the unit by hand. Don't forget the bed retainer at the front! That will set your minimum X and Y values. Then, you need to set the maximum in the firmware using these lines in the configuration.h tab: #define X_MAX_POS 170 #define X_MIN_POS 0 #define Y_MAX_POS 170 #define Y_MIN_POS 0 #define Z_MAX_POS 115 #define Z_MIN_POS 0 X is pretty straightforward - just set it to 180. Y is a bit more complicated, as it depends on how much your front and rear Y tension screws stick out. Take a look at the clearance when you move all the way back and add that distance to the Y max value. It's not rocket science once you get into it, but be careful not to do 10mm moves, or you might end up with a nasty crash into the end stop!
