I highly recommend checking out Brun's video on YouTube:\r\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuS6HDHc7XE\r\nThis classic puzzle was originally presented to machinists at:\r\nhttps://www.cnccookbook.com/how-to-make-cnc-turners-cube/\r\nWhen attempting to create a model for 3D printing, I initially approached it as a machinist would - carving out cylinders from the nested cubes.\r\nHowever, quickly realizing that the inside surface of the cubes was not ideal, I had to step up my CAD game slightly to achieve a spherical inside surface.\r\nThis result is indeed superior when using 3D printing, which is not the case with subtractive manufacture.\r\nOther examples on this site are inferior due to either the inner cubes being fixed or the interior of the cube not being a sphere.\r\nA skilled machinist with advanced CAM lathe capabilities might possibly prove my result slightly incorrect.
