Turn Signal, Oil Sensor, Coolant Sensor Connector Fix for BMW vehicle
thingiverse
A common problem with older BMWs is the failure of some plastic connectors for non-critical sensors due to German regulations forcing biodegradable plastics use during the 80's and 90's. This led to a widespread issue where they became extremely brittle and fell apart, regardless of whether it was intentional or not. This would be an easy fix - simply purchase new connector shells and install them - but there is an additional challenge with the overmolded plastic part that surrounds the pins which has a tendency to crumble. A 3D printed part can replace this overmolded portion, allowing the pins to seat correctly in the connector.
