Turn Signal Helper
thingiverse
My mom is dealing with some serious shoulder problems that make lifting her left arm a real challenge. I've been noticing she's struggling to use the turn signal in her car, so I decided to come up with a practical solution. That's how I came up with the "Turn Signal Helper", and I'm hoping it will help others out there who are facing similar issues. It consists of two main parts: an adapter bracket and a knob. The adapter bracket connects securely to the turn signal using two reliable zip ties. A 1/4-20 threaded rod screws into place, with heat shrink wrapped around it for a sleek finish. The knob simply screws onto the end of this setup. To make sure everything holds up in the extreme temperatures found inside most vehicles, I recommend printing with PETG or other filaments that can handle higher temps. Once printed, the threaded rod is carefully trimmed to size and bent into position for optimal use.
