The carpet was rendered using 3ds Max 2013 and V-Ray 2.40.03, but it was saved in Max 2010 format. The scene consists of two objects: a carpet and splines (hair_spline). If the hair doesn't open to scale, you need to access the settings for hair and fur, scroll down to tools, and activate the "Recomb From Splines" option with spline_hair specified. This will allow the hair to take its desired shape. You can then delete the splines. The amount of hair and segments on this carpet are set at 450,000 and root thickness 2, respectively. For weaker computers, you can significantly reduce the amount of hair and increase the root thickness to 3-5. The file formats obj and fbx without wool are available. Before rendering, go to the Rendering - Effects tab, click on Hair and Fur, and select mr prim mode below. If you're using Corona render 3, remove the daw in Mr parameters with Apply mr Shader checked, and adjust the texture by opening Material Parameters scroll in tip color and root color cells. If you experience any issues with rendering fur, feel free to reach out for assistance.
