In May 2007, the Bodrum Sualti Dernegi deliberately sank the Coast Guard Ship 'SG115' in the Lava Bay to develop an artificial reef using this newly submerged vessel. The SG115 features a gradual slope that plunges down from 17 to 30 meters.
