Established under license from Fiat Automobiles, the Turkish company behind the name stands for the Turkish Automobile Factory Joint Stock Company. Founded in 1968, the factory's construction began on April 13th, 1969, covering a total area of 61,848 square meters within a larger 735,170 square meter site. By February 12th, 1971, the organization had progressed to series production. The facility is situated in Bursa and currently employs 8,500 workers under the leadership of Demirtas in the Bursa-Yalova industrial area.
