Turbowing CYCLOPS 3 Mount for EMAX Tinyhawk
thingiverse
This is a surprisingly effective CYCLOPS 3 mount for the EMAX Tinyhawk. I aimed to create something light and removable, but was also in a hurry to test it out. It performs remarkably well, considering all factors. [Check out this video of it in action](https://youtu.be/5p3kHL4EITg). [Here's another shot before I swapped out the lens](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-kFSb7MmYY). The CYCLOPS 3 is an incredibly compact 720p camera. It records 720p videos directly to an SD card on its back, while also offering regular analog video output - albeit with noticeable lag. I highly recommend replacing the stock lens with a superior [M7 1.8mm lens](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/3GKKYJ6De8). The camera fits snugly into the mount, although you may need to insert the SD card after attaching it, rather than beforehand. The bottom half is slightly undersized, allowing it to grip firmly onto the frame. The whole assembly is secured using blu-tac and an elastic band. I removed the analog video cable from the camera and soldered on a female JST-PH connector instead. I also connected a male JST-PH to the 5V pads on the board - initially, I tried VBAT but the camera kept shutting down due to power fluctuations.
