Turboshaft Engine, Modular Design, Free Turbine, Reverse Flow Type

This model is a functional cutaway of the engine that has been used all over the world as an engine for small helicopters since the 1960s. The main reasons for this are high performance, high maintainability due to reverse flow and modular design, and the degree of freedom of mounting on the aircraft. There is an example that it was actually installed at 45 degrees upward. A. Features of this model ① Modular Design (Compressor, Gearbox, Turbine, Combustion) ② Combined Compressor (6 Axial+1 Centrifugal) ③ Free Turbine (2 Gas-Producer(GP), 2 Power Turbine) ④ Combustion (2 Transfer Tubes, 1 Flame Tube) ⑤ Gearbox (GP Gear Train (Sky Blued) and PT Gear Train (Light Greened)) Please imagine the torque meter exists inside of helical idler gear. Refer to my model “Torque Meter, Helical Gear Train / Oil Type (JEC-11-1)” for detail. ⑥ Rotation Devices provided (GP: Finger or Motorized, PT: Finger Motion) PT rotation is little heavy because dirving from output shaft and thrust force from helical gears ⑦ Assembly and Disassembly can be done. [NOTE] Stator Vanes are intentionally omitted to avoid rubbing during rotation. Heatshield (Fire Wall) is intentionally omitted. [Video] https://youtu.be/nVpKLeiL5vM B. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 27 pages) The detail assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping and painting)". Finishing of gear teeth is very important to get smooth rotation. C. Purchase Parts Information; - Bearings- No Metal Bearing is used. - Aluminum Pipees φ3, 4, 5, 6, 7 - See Parts List - Screws Micro screws M1.4x3.5L & M1.4x6L - Direct screw-in to 1 mm dia hole (No nut) But if you have the M1.4 Tap, it will be very useful. Screws M2 x ** -, M3 x ** - See Parts List - DC Motor is optional D. STL file Total STL files are 69 items including the stand and tools. “ws” of last 2 digits of file name means “With Support” special designed. For the cylinders and crankcases, which are the very complicated part, the "Without Support" files are included as the option. E. Total Net Print Time: Approx. 83 HR - (Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and No raft and support) Note: When at actual print, each parameter may be adjusted by your experience. F. Printing settings Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Depending on your experience. My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA. I do hope your success!!
