Turboprop Engine Modified Parts (No.3)
cults3d
I am a designer of the Turboprop Engine, a project I've been working on. To reduce costs, I redesigned the New Reduction Gear Assembly, specifically focusing on the metal ball bearings. This modification is fully interchangeable with the original assembly and has several key benefits. One major advantage is that the number of bearings required has been reduced to just one from eight, resulting in significant cost savings. The modified parts are clearly shown alongside their corresponding originals in a photograph, making it easy to see the changes made. The STL files for this project have been updated with six new files, which can be seen in the accompanying photo. I've also specified that three φ3 x 26 AL tubes will be used as gearshafts. In terms of assembly, I've outlined the sequence and key points to consider, marked with a "NOTE" for clarity. It's worth noting that while this design is still not ideal for printing and assembling easily, I'm counting on your perseverance to see it through. Thank you for taking an interest in my project!
