This is a model of the Turboprop Engine for Business Aircraft, etc. The engine of this class boasts several features that set it apart from large size jet fan engines. These features include smaller size, higher RPM, and lighter weight, making the complex air flow and configuration more manageable. There are two types of engines in this class: direct drive and free turbine. This cutaway model is an example of the direct drive type. The features of this model include: ① An integral-type reduction gear box with an air intake ② High ratio reduction gears, including planetary ③ A 2-stage centrifugal compressor (impeller) ④ A reverse flow combustion chamber ⑤ An axial stage turbine ⑥ For the bearings, printable dummy BRG are used to reduce costs instead of metal ball bearings. Download files include: -files: STL Files (44 items) STL file names start with "ws" for With Support, which is a special design. -images: parts breakdown for assembly aid -Excel (Zip) File: Parts List Purchase parts information includes: -Aluminum tubes, as listed in the parts list -Screws Micro screws M1.4x3.5L - approximately 45 ea - direct screw-in to 1 mm dia hole (no nut) Screws M2 x ** - see parts list Assembly points require standard skills such as drilling, tapping, filing, tightening, painting, and gluing. Perseverance is also necessary for assembly. For clarification of air flow passage, back side surfaces are painted before glueing and/or assembly (see photos). Total net print time: approximately 40 hours Estimated for case of PLA, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 40% infill, no raft, and support. Input-Housing101ws.stl requires about 10 hours to print. Note: actual print parameters may be adjusted based on experience. I hope your success!
