TurboNut Drill Press Depth Stop Accelerator

TurboNut Drill Press Depth Stop Accelerator

thingiverse

The first one threads onto the depth adjustment screw on a Bridgeport or similar milling machine, while the other fits snugly into a Rockwell drill press. To avoid turning the nut by hand, you can quickly spin it with a blast of compressed air. The third one has a smaller hole - 0.500 in. diameter, allowing for easy drilling and tapping as needed. Be sure to print these at 102% scale to account for PLA shrinkage. Once printed, break the two halves apart, then trim off any ragged edges that remain. Finally, connect the two halves with a pair of 3/8" pitch chain splices.
