Do you use a TurboGrafx system with an plug-in expansion port AV booster? If you do and it doesn't have a built method for pin alignment then you need this! This adapter/guide goes over the expansion bus female pin header end provides the proper D-sub profile to allow for perfect pin alignment every time. It will help keep you from smashing or bending the expansion bus pins when inserting or removing expansion devices. Easily removed if you also use a PC Engine, CoreGrafx, CoreGrafx II, or SuperGrafx system that doesn't use a D-sub style plug.Type 1:For devices that have the full 69-pin header. This includes most generic import AV boosters available on ebay, Amazon, Ali Express. It slips over the header and is a friction fit. Just slide it on until it's flush with the face of the connector.!! If your pin header has rough cut ends (i.e. it was cut off from a longer connector like mine) you may need to file or grind the ends flat so that the plug is 59mm wide. Just make sure it is evenly spaced on both sides. !!Type 2:This is designed specifically to better fit the db Grafx Booster which is also sold as the Engine Block AV. These use two square 9-pin headers on each end. This version is designed to enclose and fit that better and pushes up against the housing the board comes in. Type 1 will also work, but I found it very easy to bend the headers on a db Grafx Booster with that style. You may need to trim the heat-shrink tubing if yours has it.
