Turbofan Engine Model
thingiverse
I designed the engine completely myself. It is not meant to emulate a specific engine, but rather to function as a general eye-catcher or ventilator. After the Printing you have to assemble the parts and fit the electronics. Start with the inner engine by fitting the motor inside as well as the cables. if you wish to paint it is very easy now. After that put the inner engine into the lower shell from the stand and fit the upper part. After that you can fit the back and glue them together. To aviod ugly joints use wood varnish filler and sand the whole thing so it's smooth for painting. After that you can put in the flange and assemble the fan. Thats it. For the stand I used a piece of wood which I milled out at the back for some cable management. I used to screws to fix the parts. I list all the parts you need below. Flange: 3,17 mm https://www.ebay.de/itm/162814609139 Motor: 12 V DC Motor 10000 U/min https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07L8DJR3L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Electronics: Voltage regulator https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0113XRDK2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Power: 1A 12V Power supply (and a female connector to it so you don't have to cut the cables) And some cables, soldering equipment and fun ;-) Maybe the parts won't fit on the first try, I adapted them to the tollerances of my printer, so feel free to try it out. Here is the link to the youtube video demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ami44v4uDtc&t=8s&ab_channel=StefanKiehl Feel free to send me pictures of your finished prints and if you enjoyed it leave me a tip, thanks :-) Ps: Please be carefull with the spinning blades. Don't touch them while spinning, they can hurt you pretty hard and I don't take any responsability for possible injuries. And sorry for my English XD (I'm German).
