You spin it up with your hand (counter clockwise) and then blow air down the top to spin it faster.

I usually blow through a straw or use a hair dryer on the no heat setting. Once you spin it up, it will spin for about 2 minutes.

This prints upside down on a raft with the point in the air. You need to print this without support or the support material will plug up the air inlet. You need to print with infill because the air ducts through the interior need that support.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Printrbot

Printer:

Printrbot Simple Metal

Rafts:

Yes

Supports:

No

Infill:

about 20%

Notes:

This requires infill to support the curved air channels that pass through the interior of the top. You may need to play with the settings a little to balance out the infill because any imbalance will cause the top to wobble.

Category: Toys & Games
