Turbine Rotary Tool 60,000 rpm
cults3d
Turbines pack an enormous punch in a compact size. This one reaches speeds of up to 60,000 rpm by harnessing the airflow from a standard vacuum cleaner, emits a deafening roar akin to a 747 taking off, generates tremendous power, and even sucks up its own dust particles! This is a chance for someone to turn this concept into a successful product. I have no commercial stake in it, and would be thrilled if anyone took the lead and developed it further. A great starting point would be to source a batch of shafts and spacers so people can experiment with them. The spinning top project is even simpler, and there's also a small handheld turbine rotor designed just for fun.
