Since I haven't invested in proper lamps for my new house yet, I've decided to create a more attractive lamp shade. Searching for one led me to realize that making my own would be a better option. As a mechanical engineer, I thought, "Why not something with precision engineering?" However, I quickly realized that a functional turbine wouldn't look good at all, so I modified it for a more visually appealing design. This is the outcome. If you choose to create one of these lamp shades, keep in mind that using an incandescent light bulb isn't a good idea. Fluorescent or LED bulbs are safer choices since they don't produce heat that could melt the shade or cause a fire. Use it at your own risk. Update: I've added a PlainLampShade that can be paired with the same MountingBase. Initially, it was supposed to be a simple lamp shade, but it evolved slightly. You could even create your own lamp shades if you're interested in doing so. Let me know if you need any dimensions for that. Update 2: I've added another version with 14 blades. This other design features shorter but wider blades and a thinner base. These blades are compatible with the BladesBase_x14, and they can also work on the 16-blade BladesBase. Update 3: I've replaced the X3G file for the "Blade - Shorter" with the STL version. Update 4: I've added two pictures of the shorter blade on the 16-slot BladesBase. Update 5: I've added STL files for the entire assembly for both versions. While they might not be useful for printing due to their size, they can help you visualize the model as an assembly and provide overall dimensions of the shades once they're assembled.
