Turbine/Impeller for Shark 18v Cordless
thingiverse
A toroidal radial taper was added to the design for a hand-held vacuum fitment, making it taller in the middle and shorter on the edges. The OpenSCAD configuration replaced an injection-molded part that failed under usage, with additional variables for a hollow center to enhance suction. It was specifically sized for a Shark 18v Cordless vacuum motor. To attach it, the motor shaft was heated and the printed PLA part press-fitted in place, despite slight vibrations due to unbalanced printing. Overall, it showcases the 3D printer's efficiency with just a 2-hour process from OpenSCAD to part creation, and the turbine diameter is 70mm.
