Recently, new files for the motor mounting plate have been added as Motor_Plate_12-19-13.stp and Motor_Plate_12-19-13.igs to allow users to modify it according to their specific motors. The turbine blower assembly was inspired by a Thingiverse design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:39755). Due to difficulties in finding the right motor/gear combination, the turbine has been modified to fit a common 9-16V electric motor, possibly using Radio Shack #273-256. The upper housing has an added support in the output tube that can be easily removed. On 3/24/14, solid models of this design were made available for users' enjoyment. The required hardware includes seven M3-.5X10mm socket cap screws, seven M3-.5 nylon lock nuts, and fourteen M3 flat washers. Two screws are also needed for the motor, but their exact size is unknown as they were sourced from a junk laptop. They might be M2 or M2.5 in size. So, have fun using this turbine blower assembly!
