turbine

In the past, I considered creating a wind or water turbine for electricity generation but lacked woodworking or metalworking skills, causing the project to fail. Recently, however, I learned about 3D printers and thought printing the turbine would be possible. As a result, I designed one in openSCAD, although it may not be perfect and I have concerns over its printability and durability. Despite these doubts, I hope others can find use for my design. Before printing, however, you must add an axis hole or attach a cylinder as the axis that goes into a bearing since I haven't included this in my design due to uncertainty about the turbine's size. After printing, locate a source of wind or moving water and mount the turbine while connecting a generator; it might break if not sturdy enough. You could also combine it with other designs found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1589 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:802 for added functionality.
